Fire Wardens And Marshals Duration: 1 day

Overview:
The Fire Precautions (Workplace) Regulations 1997 and the Fire Precautions Act 1971 require an employer to assess the suitability of measures currently in place to protect people from the risk of fire.
This course is designed to give participants a practical overview of the Fire Safety at Work Regulations. It covers the practical use of fire extinguishers, evacuation procedures for both staff and visitors, and the human reaction to fire. Additionally, the course provides the necessary skills and knowledge to review Fire Safety Arrangements within the workplace.

Manual Handling (MHO) Assessors Duration: 1 day

Overview:
It has long been recognised that manual handling of loads at work contributes significantly to the number of workplace injuries. The Manual Handling Operation Regulations 1992 establish a clear hierarchy of measures to reduce the risk of injury from manual handling operations. If risks cannot be avoided then each task must be assessed so that the risks of injury can be reduced so far as is reasonably practicable.
This course is designed to give participants a practical overview of the manual handling operation as well as providing the necessary skills and knowledge to conduct "suitable and sufficient" risk assessments for manual handling tasks.

Manual Handling (MHO) Awareness - How To Lift Safely Duration: ½ day

Overview:
Under the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992, employers are required to ensure that suitable and sufficient training is provided to those employees who carry out manual handling tasks to enable them to do so in a safe manner.
